This my first ever self portrait I drew, maybe around 4 months ago. At first I liked it, but now looking at a photo of it, it's not that good in my opinion. It shows how I've still got a very long way to go.

Just to ask what did you use to draw yourself for a reference with? You did pretty good, one thing I recommend is just be proud of every piece you do, cause it shows how far you've come every drawing you do is a little bit better, this might be a bit old, but it shows you were you were four months ago. 
In the past at that moment this was the best drawing you ever did, each time you draw something else it takes the place of your last drawing. So even if you look back at it and doesn't seem that great. Remember to not be ashamed of it, I noticed as some artist improve they start getting ashamed of there older works.
Since I really have nothing to compare it too, I can't really give much help, but I figured it'd be good to address this now. (Or maybe you already knew this? )
